Purpose

THE HUMANITIES AND TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION was established in 1978 to promote understanding of the cultural interaction of the humanities, science, engineering, and technology and to help define how humanistic concerns interface with technological achievements and advances.

Each year HTA holds a conference in which the participants explore selected facets of this complex area. The Association's peer-reviewed journal, Humanities and Technology Review, provides a venue for interdisciplinary scholarship at the humanities and technology interface.
